Hi, I'm Marin. Having apparently not learned my lesson the first time I cycled from Denmark to Croatia, I've decided to do it again but this time with a slight twist - supporting SOS Children's Villages Croatia.

This journey combines my love for cycling with supporting a cause close to my heart. Thank you for considering a donation to help these children.

About SOS Children's Village Croatia

Since 1992, SOS Children's Village Croatia has been providing children without adequate parental care with a home, love, and security. In SOS families, children grow up with a caring SOS parent, side by side with SOS siblings, in the warmth of what is called an SOS home.

In Lekenik and Ladimirevci, SOS Children's Village create communities that provide children with stability, a sense of belonging, and a chance for a better future.Our work is based on four key principles:

  • SOS parent: A caring person who provides each child with love, security, and daily support.
  • SOS brothers and sisters: Children grow up together as a family, often with their biological siblings.
  • SOS house: A warm home where children live, learn, and grow.
  • SOS village: A safe community of SOS families who support each other and actively engage with the local community.

SOS Children's Village draws its inspiration from the words of founder Hermann Gmeiner: "Every great thing in the world is only achieved when someone does more than they have to."
